Can I defer to another cohort?

Deferrals will follow certain considerations in the first instance. These are detailed in full below.

Should you wish to defer your participation in a programme, you must request to do so via this form. This ensures that we have a record of your request and can do our best to help you.

The Lead Success Manager for the programme will consult with you in reaching an informed decision, and or provide confirmation of the next steps. During your progression through a programme, you will be eligible for one deferral only

Deferrals will only take place once you have moved through an assisted study plan enabling you to complete the course on which you wish to defer from. Once you have successfully completed your course, should you wish to still defer, we will confirm full terms regarding your recommencement to a suitable cohort for the next course. Deferrals will only be considered upon the understanding, commitment and agreement to the following requirements:

  • If requesting to defer prior to the start of Course 1, you will be required to restart the Orientation course again when re-commencing.
  • You agree to successfully complete the course you are currently on, prior to deferring and moving forward within the programme. This will require an assignment submission and a pass grade. A study plan will be provided, and full course access to the course content will remain for any course you have started, to enable successful course completion.
  • The assignment submission point will be the next submission opportunity for the course you are completing. Should you wish to submit earlier than the date provided, you may do so.
  • Should you receive a grade below a pass, this will result in a resit according to the policies of our education partner. In the event of a resit, this may result in a later than originally intended recommencement date.
  • You will be supported through to course completion by your student success manager and course facilitator.
  • Your re-commencement within the programme and confirmed cohort will be agreed upon once you have completed your current course.
  • Where a deferral request is received after you have already received an assignment extension, the assignment submission at the next submission point will be classed as a resit and subject to the education partners' resit policies.
  • Invoicing and payment, as per your agreed payment schedule will continue during your deferral. Failure to pay invoices received within the agreed timeframes will result in you being withdrawn from the programme as per our non-payment policy.
  • You will continue to access your Career Coaching 1:1 sessions as normal, as required.
  • Refusal to provide a confirmed date of re-commencement may result in you being withdrawn from the programme.
  • Not adhering to our engagement policy will result in you being withdrawn from the programme.
  • Should the assignment brief on the course that you are completing, change, we will provide you with a minimum of 6 weeks' notice, or agree that you will submit your assignment against the original brief attached to the course from which you are deferring.
  • Deferrals are limited to starting no later than one calendar year from the date you agree to defer participation in the programme. This means that your re-commencement to the next course in the programme should resume no later than a year after completing your last course.
  • You will retain access to any course content started during your time on the programme. All courses will be available for 6 months post programme end. When deferring, you may lose access to earlier content due to the timeframe of programme end per cohort. Where this happens, we will ensure access to the same courses, but with the cohort you have recommenced with.
  • Should you choose to defer, you automatically waive your right to apply for a refund of any kind.
  • We will provide a deadline for the completion of each relevant peer review ( those which have not yet been completed, and or that fall within the content to complete) as part of the assisted study plan.
  • Whilst we will do our best to assign an individual to provide feedback on your peer review submissions, we are unable to guarantee this.

Upon agreement of your deferral, your success manager will remain in touch with you on a monthly basis to ensure you remain clear on the process and are best prepared to begin the programme on the new agreed-upon date.
